This is very unlike me though, I never really know when the date(mothers day date) is, plus I believe everyday is supposed to Mothers day because of the absolute role of support, love, care…..(the list is endless) they play. A few days ago I made a post about motherhood, click here to read it, today I am gonna be dropping a few quotes that speak of the awesomeness of mothers, the list was not compiled by me but another writer, I hope you find the one(s) that speaks of your mum.

Here are the quotes 👇

(1) My mother… she is beautiful, softened at the edges and tempered with a spine of steel. I want to grow old and be like her. Jodi Picoult
(2) As mothers and daughters, we are connected with one another. My mother is the bones of my spine, keeping me straight and true. She is my blood, making sure it runs rich and strong. She is the beating of my heart. I cannot now imagine a life without her. Kristin Hannah

(3) When your mother asks, “Do you want a piece of advice?” it’s a mere formality. It doesn’t matter if you answer yes or no. You’re going to get it anyway. Erma Bombeck

(4) I know enough to know that no woman should ever marry a man who hated his mother. Martha Gellhorn

(5) Through the blur, I wondered if I was alone or if other parents felt the same way I did – that everything involving our children was painful in some way. The emotions, whether they were joy, sorrow, love or pride, were so deep and sharp that in the end they left you raw, exposed and yes, in pain. The human heart was not designed to beat outside the human body and yet, each child represented just that – a parent’s heart bared, beating forever outside its chest. Debra Ginsberg

(6) But mothers lie. It’s in the job description. John Green

(7) Our mothers always remain the strangest, craziest people we’ve ever met. Marguerite Duras

(8) My first words, as I was being born […] I looked up at my mother and said, ‘that’s the last time I’m going up one of those.” Stephen Fry

(9) Be a Mother who is committed to loving her children into standing on higher ground than the environment surrounding them. Mothers are endowed with a love that is unlike any other love on the face of the earth. Marjorie Pay Hinckley

(10) It is the custom of every good mother after her children are asleep to rummage in their minds and put things straight for next morning, repacking into their proper places the many articles that have wandered during the day. If you could keep awake (but of course you can’t) you would see your own mother doing this, and you would find it very interesting to watch her. It is quite like tidying up drawers. You would see her on her knees, I expect, lingering humorously over some of your contents, wondering where on earth you had picked this thing up, making discoveries sweet and not so sweet, pressing this to her cheek as if it were as nice as a kitten, and hurriedly stowing that out of sight. When you wake in the morning, the naughtinesses and evil passions with which you went to bed have been folded up small and placed at the bottom of your mind; and on the top, beautifully aired, are spread out prettier thoughts, ready for you to put on. J.M. Barrie

(11) All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother. Abraham Lincoln

(12) God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers. David C. Gross

(13) A mother’s love: the sacred relationship of affording a nanny so as to be tolerated as a granny. Bauvard

(14) Sometimes, mothers say and do things that seem like they don’t want their kids… but when you look more closely, you realize that they’re doing those kids a favor. They’re just trying to give them a better life. Jodi Picoult

(15) There’s no bitch on earth like a mother frightened for her kids. Stephen King

(16) You count the hours you could have spent with your mother. It’s a lifetime in itself. Mitch Albom

(17)My mother’s menu consisted of two choices: Take it or leave it. Buddy Hackett

(18) Think for a minute, darling: in fairy tales it’s always the children who have the fine adventures. The mothers have to stay at home and wait for the children to fly in the window. Audrey Niffenegger

(19) A good mother is irreplaceable. Adriana Trigiani

(20) The best love in the world, is the love of a man. The love of a man who came from your womb, the love of your son! I don’t have a daughter, but maybe the love of a daughter is the best, too. I am first and foremost me, but right after that, I am a mother. The best thing that I can ever be, is me. But the best gift that I will ever have, is being a mother. C. JoyBell C.

(21) When a man who is drinking neat gin starts talking about his mother he is past all argument. C.S. Forester,

(22) Mothers can forgive anything! Tell me all, and be sure that I will never let you go, though the whole world should turn from you. Louisa May Alcott

(23) Mothers were the only ones you could depend on to tell the whole, unvarnished truth. Margaret Dilloway
Blessed is a mother that would give up part of her soul for her children’s happiness. Shannon L. Alder

(24)My mother always said ‘Don’t bother other people.’ I think that’s good advice. Amy Sedaris

THOUGHT CATALOG, MICHAEL KOH
